Shell Canada is currently seeking Student Process Operators - Various Operating  Facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring process unit operations and troubleshooting with a focus on safety, environment and profitability
• Perform maintenance on shift
• Work at heights and in confined spaces
• Safety focus (Safe Work Practices, Hazard Task Analysis); Core safety skills training will be required.
• Technical competence, understanding of process units and work processes with the ability to operate complex process control loops.
• This position requires the incumbent to be flexible in his/her work schedule, including shift work and be available for overtime.

Requirements:

• Candidate must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• Students must be enrolled in a Power Engineering Technology Program, and have finished the 1st year of the two year program.
• Must have 4th class ABSA ticket.
• Must have good time management, oral communication and report writing skills.
• MS office computer software knowledge.
• Basic computer literacy in both PC and mainframe environment
