SmartMow (robot-mower)

I know this is not the lawn mowing season and if you are like me then you must have been enjoying it because no one wants to spend time in hot summer cutting grass. But like a cup of hot coco good times also have to come an end and soon it will be summer again but no worries this summer you can be ready with SmartMow by Robolabs, Inc. SmartMow is a garage gadget, where it might not be the best way to cut grass, it sure beats the traditional method of cutting grass with heavy equipment under hot sun. SmartMow is re-chargeable and one charge lasts about 2 to 3 hours and cover the area of 1/6 acre. SmartMow will cost you about $175 only if you pre-order now if you choose to wait till its official release in spring,09 then it will cost you roughly $700 total. SmartMow is a great product but like similar product in the past be ready to come across some glitches and remember not every robot is perfect (yet).

Tectoy’s Zeebo gaming console

Years ago games were just a time passing instrument but times have changed and today’s gaming market generate BILLIONS of dollars every year and companies all over the world are jumping in to get their share. Tectoy (a company from Brazil) is launching its own gaming console called Zeebo. The most unique thing about Zeebo is that it will be constantly connected to a 3G gaming network and gamers won’t be charged for it, it almost seems like a dream come true but there are not many classical games available for this console other than some cell phone games. While its makers are saying Zeebo is not to compete with NextGen consoles like PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii but if it ever did it will surely revolutionize the gaming industry. Zeebo has a price tag of $599 and will shipping in Brazil in July 2009.

PlayStation2 as Openplatform

Sony Europe has declared PS2 as an open platform in an conference held in Kiev, Ukraine which means that game developers will no longer have to submit their games to Sony for approval this will make easy for more and cheap PS2 games to rise and it will also give unknown developers to prove themselves on a well known console. Some suspect that Sony has taken this step to help boost PS3 sales other think Sony wants to direct all of its attention and resources to PSP and PS3, exactly how this is going to help Sony is still unpredictable but this news has sparked a special interest in PS2 worldwide and a boost of PS2 sales.

Linux-based Evo “Smart Console”

Just when we thought that the dominant names for gaming market were only going to be SONY, MICROSOFT and NITENDO there is a new competitor on the horizon to get its share of next gen. Envizions computer entertainment have announced their gaming console named EVO Smart Console that is looking to give hard time to SONY which is still catching up with its competitors already dominant in the market. Where it is little too early to predict the future of this console some of its feature are foreshadowing that it could be the next under dog of ever changing gaming market like:> a water-cooled 64-bit Athlon Quadcore, 64×2 CPU running at 2.9 GHz AND ATI HD 3200 graphics card plus the console supports HD standards 1080i and 1080p, includes 2 Gbytes RAM, and runs a 120-Gbyte hard drive. Evo Smart Console also supports the H.264 VC1 and MPEG2 multimedia codecs and emits video signals as DVI and HDMI. Evo Smart Console can also serve as incorporates desktop virtualization and biometric authentication (voice and fingerprint), serves as a DVD and VoIP box, and allows for data archiving, it also provides a social network product called PitchBuzz.com and an Internet TV station, and integrates with a U.S. video-on-demand provider with over 10,000 titles. With all that and more features still to be talked about this console is not going to be cheap with a price tag of $600 BUT it can be yours for $250 if you pre-order now with singing up of some subscriptions. The Smart Console will be available for developers and interested parties starting November 20th, at first only in the U.S. and Canada. 2009 is reserved for the Big Release, with software to follow out of the Envizions cloud.
